Afya Mchuzi Sauce
Ingredients
2 tablespoon butter
2 onions, finely chopped
3 cloves of garlic, crushed
8 ripe tomatoes, blended
1 tablespoon Winnie’s Pure Health Afya Mchuzi
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 cup water
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 tablespoons Winnie’s Pure Health Honey
1/2 teaspoon Winnie’s Pure Health Herbal salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
Directions
- Melt the butter in a pan and add the onions. Cook the onions, stirring constantly until soft
- Add garlic and cook until there is an aroma, add blended tomatoes and stir then bring to a boil Reduce the heat and simmer the tomatoes until reduced and appears dark red in color
- Add the water, Afya Mchuzi, Oregano, basil, thyme and paprika then stir and let it simmer for 5 minutes
- Add vinegar, honey, salt and black pepper. Stir until well combined
- Serve with Winnie’s Ugali Afya, Brown rice or Chapati Afya
