Omena

Ingredients

  • 1 litre water

  • 450 grams of omena

  • ¼ teaspoon Winnie’s Pure Health Herbal sea salt

  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper

  • 4 red tomatoes

  • 1 onion

  • 1 coriander

  • 1 green pepper

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable cooking oil

  • 1 teaspoon Winnie’s Pure Health Afya Mchuzi

Directions

  • In a cooking pot, boil omena in 1 liter of water for 10 minutes, remove from the fire and drain all the water from the sufuria and wash the omena twice with warm water
  • Chop the onion, tomatoes, green pepper into small cubes and set aside. Chop the coriander and set it aside on a different container
  • In a pan fry the onion till golden brown
  • Add the omena and stir well. Add the salt, Afya Mchuzi, 2 tablespoon water and pepper, stir evenly add the tomatoes, green pepper and coriander. Let it cook for five minutes
  • Serve with Ugali Afya and Vegetables
