Omena
Ingredients
1 litre water
450 grams of omena
¼ teaspoon Winnie’s Pure Health Herbal sea salt
½ teaspoon of black pepper
4 red tomatoes
1 onion
1 coriander
1 green pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable cooking oil
1 teaspoon Winnie’s Pure Health Afya Mchuzi
Directions
- In a cooking pot, boil omena in 1 liter of water for 10 minutes, remove from the fire and drain all the water from the sufuria and wash the omena twice with warm water
- Chop the onion, tomatoes, green pepper into small cubes and set aside. Chop the coriander and set it aside on a different container
- In a pan fry the onion till golden brown
- Add the omena and stir well. Add the salt, Afya Mchuzi, 2 tablespoon water and pepper, stir evenly add the tomatoes, green pepper and coriander. Let it cook for five minutes
- Serve with Ugali Afya and Vegetables
