Terere Afya Porridge

Terere (Amaranth) with Sesame Porridge

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons Winnie’s Pure Health Terere flour

  • 2 and 1/4 cups cold water

  • 2 tablespoons Winnie’s Pure Health Honey

  • 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

Directions

  • Add 6 tablespoons of flour to a bowl and add ¾ cup of cold water
  • Mix thoroughly to make a smooth paste with no lumps
  • Heat 1 and 1/2 cups of water to boil and add the paste
  • Let it cook for 10 minutes on low heat while being continually stirred
  • Add honey and sesame seeds while serving
  • Best served warm
