Uji (Sorghum) Cookies

Uji Afya Cookies


  • ¾ cup softened butter

  • 2 Winnie’s Pure Health Organic Eggs

  • ¼ cup Winnie’s Pure Health Honey

  • 1 cup Winnie’s Pure Health Uji Afya flour

  • 1 cup Winnie’s Pure Health Atta mark 1 whole wheat flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger


  • Preheat the oven to 180° Celsius and grease your baking tray
  • In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and ginger; set aside
  • In a different bowl, beat together the butter and honey until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time and mix well
  • Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix the dough with your hands. Add more flour if the mixture is too sticky
  • To form each cookie, make a golf-ball-sized ball and then flatten it between your hands. Arrange them on the prepared baking tray and bake for 20 minutes
  • When done, remove from the oven and leave to cool before serving
