Tomato Soup

Ingredients

  • 4 cups chopped tomatoes

  • 1 sliced onion

  • 2 cups chicken broth

  • 2 tablespoons butter/ghee

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons Winnie’s Pure Health Chapati Afya

  • 1 teaspoon Winnie’s Pure Health Sea Salt

  • 2 teaspoons Winnie’s Pure Health Honey

  • 1 teaspoon Winnie’s Pure Health Afya Mchuzi

Directions

  • In a pot, fry onions with 1 tablespoon ghee over medium heat. Add in tomatoes, Herbal Mchuzi, black pepper and chicken broth. Stir and bring to boil for about 20 minutes
  • Remove from heat and blend until you have a smooth consistency
  • In a different pot, add the remaining ghee over medium heat. Stir in the flour to make a roux, cook until the roux is medium brown
  • Gradually whisk in a bit of the blended tomato mixture so that no lumps form, then stir in the rest of the blended tomato
  • Season with honey and salt
