Spiced Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 and 3/4 cups of Winnie’s Pure Health Atta Mark 1

  • 1/2 cup Winnie’s Pure Health Honey

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 1 teaspoon Winnie’s Pure Health Herbal salt

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 2 Winnie’s Pure Health Organic Eggs room temperature

  • 1 tea spoon vanilla

  • 1 cup freshly brewed strong hot coffee

  • 1 cup buttermilk

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius
  • Grease 2, 8 inch baking tins and set aside
  • In a mixing bowl add flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cayenne pepper and salt and mix well. Set aside
  • Mix the buttermilk, oil, eggs, honey and vanilla together. Add in the mix of dry ingredients then the coffee and make sure everything is combined. The batter will be very thin
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes or until you insert a toothpick into the center and it comes out clean
  • Allow the cake to cool on a cooling rack
