Marble Cake
Ingredients
250 grams of ghee/butter
250 grams of Winnie’s Pure Health Honey
300 grams of Winnie’s Pure Health Chapati Afya/Atta mark 1 flour
5 Organic Winnie’s Pure Health Eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla essence
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
50ml milk
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ cup of water
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease and line 2 medium loaf pans
- Mix the flour and the baking powder in a bowl and set aside
- Cream the ghee/butter and honey slightly with a hand mixer or a whisk and add milk. Cream continuously until well combined
- Add in eggs one at a time and vanilla essence. Mix until combined to a smooth consistency
- Fold in the dry ingredients with a whisk or spatula and do not over mix
- Mix cocoa powder with water until smooth. Add the cocoa mixture to the flour mixture and fold in thrice cutting through the mix
- Pour the butter into the loaf pans and bake in the oven for 55 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius (Cooking time may vary depending on the oven)
- Remove from the oven to cool after inserting a toothpick in the middle and it comes out clean
