Ugali Afya Maize Flour Cake
Ingredients
250 grams of butter/ghee
250 grams of Winnie’s Pure Health Honey
500 grams of Ugali Afya maize flour
5 Winnie’s Pure Health Organic Eggs
50 ml milk
1 tablespoon vanilla essence
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius
- Mix the flour, baking soda and the baking powder in a bowl and set aside
- Cream the butter/ghee and honey slightly and add milk. Cream continuously until well combined
- Add in eggs one at a time and vanilla essence. Mix until well combined. Fold in the dry ingredients with a whisk or spatula
- Pour the batter into two 7-inch baking containers (you can also use the 8-inch containers). Bake in the oven for 55 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius (Cooking time may vary depending on the oven)
