Ugali Afya Maize Flour Cake

Ingredients

  • 250 grams of butter/ghee

  • 250 grams of Winnie’s Pure Health Honey

  • 500 grams of Ugali Afya maize flour

  • 5 Winnie’s Pure Health Organic Eggs

  • 50 ml milk

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius
  • Mix the flour, baking soda and the baking powder in a bowl and set aside
  • Cream the butter/ghee and honey slightly and add milk. Cream continuously until well combined
  • Add in eggs one at a time and vanilla essence. Mix until well combined. Fold in the dry ingredients with a whisk or spatula
  • Pour the batter into two 7-inch baking containers (you can also use the 8-inch containers). Bake in the oven for 55 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius (Cooking time may vary depending on the oven)
