Beef and Broccoli

Ingredients

1 teaspoon Winnie’s Pure Health Honey
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon water
500 grams lean beef, cubed
3 tablespoons oil
1/2 tablespoon Afya Mchuzi
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon water
500 grams fresh broccoli
2 garlic cloves (crushed)
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon Winnie’s Pure Health Herbal salt
1/2 teaspoon Winnie’s Pure Health Honey
Directions
- Cube the beef and add the marinade ingredients, adding the Afya Mchuzi last (use your fingers to rub it in) and marinade for 30 minutes
- Wash and drain the broccoli. Cut the stalk diagonally into slices
- Heat the pan and add 2 tablespoons oil. When the oil hot, add the beef. Keep stirring until the beef changes color and is cooked. Remove the beef from the pan
- Add 1 tablespoon oil to the pan add the garlic and stir fry briefly until aromatic
- Add the broccoli; sprinkle the salt and honey over, and stir fry briefly, turning down the heat if necessary to make sure it doesn’t burn. Add the 1/2 cup water, and cook the broccoli, covered, for 4 – 5 minutes, until it turns a bright green and is tender but still crisp
- Add the beef to the broccoli and mix well
- Serve with Winnie’s Pure Health Brown rice
