  • Sifted maize flour
  • Amaranth grain flour
  • Turmeric powder 

Preparation

  1. Boil 2 cups of water
  2. Slowly add 300g of flour to the water while stirring the mixture
  3. Stir constantly to a firm patty to avoid any lumps
  4. Let it simmer under low heat for about 10 minutes until the ugali is very stiff
  5. Pull away the cooking pot from the heat
