Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Winnie’s Pure Health Chapati Afya flour

  • 2 tablespoons dry yeast

  • 1 cup milk

  • ¾ cup water

  • ½ cup vegetable oil

  • 3 tablespoons Winnie’s Pure Health Honey

  • 1 teaspoon Winnie’s Pure Health Herbal salt

  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

  • Egg wash (egg and water mix)

Directions

  • Stir together 3 cups flour and the yeast. In a separate bowl, heat milk, water, oil, honey and salt to lukewarm. Add the mixture to the flour and mix with your hands adding the remaining flour gradually
  • Mix in enough flour to make a soft dough. Dust a flat surface with flour, turn dough out onto floured surface, and knead for 8 minutes. Form a ball and coat with oil in the bowl. Let it rest in the bowl for about 30 minutes to 1 hour until it doubles in size
  • Punch the dough in the middle and knead for 5 minutes
  • Shape dough into 24 balls, and place on greased baking sheet to rise until doubled in size. Brush the rolls with egg wash (water and egg mix) and sprinkle sesame seeds
  • Bake in a preheated 180 degrees Celsius oven for 15 minutes
  • Remove from the oven to cool
